- We are currently seeking part-time support workers for a children's residential home, with the option for full-time hours if needed.
- The position requires working permanent night shifts from 10:15 PM to 7:45 AM, with flexibility in choosing 1 or more nights per week.
- Candidates must have previous experience working with children and young people with learning difficulties and hold or be working towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (children's).
- Induction and training will be provided over a 5-day period during the day, and PROACT-SCIPr training is preferred but not mandatory prior to starting.
- The role offers competitive pay, and applicants must have an enhanced DBS on the update service and provide a minimum of 5 years of references.
The role of support worker is to work permanent nights across flexible shifts Monday to Sunday where by you can choose to work 1 or more nights per week. Preferably you would be PROACT-SCIPr trained, or be willing to undertake the training prior to commencement. Induction and training is provided on site by the client, however this is done over a 5 day period during the day 9.30 am to 3.30pm.
As a support worker in this role you will be working in a childrens residential home with 8 - 18 year olds, who will have severe learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and non verbal. It is essential therefore that you have previous experience of working with children and young people within this age group and with learning difficulties etc.
The shifts commence at 22.15pm and finish at 7.45 am. You will have complete flexibility of the days you work and shift rota's are prepared 2 weeks in advance.
A key requirement for the role is you must hold a Level 3 in Health and Social care (children's) or working towards it.
There are good public transport links to the client from Derby, Sheffield and Stockport to include bus and train services.
