Reed is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected client in the infrastructure and highways sector. We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Estimator/Commercial Assistant join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in estimating.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse tender documents and prepare pricing schedules

Take off from Survey data.

Develop tenders, budgets, and cost estimates from first principles or schedules of rates

Issue material and subcontract enquiries

Complete and submit tender documentation

Maintain accurate records and databases of cost rates and contractual arrangements

Liaise with internal teams to ensure pricing sufficiency

Provide commercial support to operational teams and contribute to continuous improvement

Experience and knowledge required.

We are looking for candidates with a HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related field, ideally in Construction.

Knowledge of estimating and recognised measurement method.

Commercial and technical competence with risk awareness

Strong MS Excel skills; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint

Ability to interpret technical drawings, some experience in taking off from drawings would be an advantage.

Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
