CLASS 2 DRIVER - (This position will be starting in Chippenham and then will be moving to another site in Swindon on a temp to perm opportunity)
MONDAY - FRIDAY START TIME FLEXIBLE, 8 hour shift and deliveries must be completed by 6pm.
Delivery route given day in advance to plan shift times.

Rates of Pay:
- Basic: £16.00 an hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Delivering plywood to clients and customers.
- Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Calling ahead to clients and customers to inform them of delivery time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience driving Category C vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Training
- Two days of paid training and ongoing support throughout
