We're recruiting on behalf of a trusted provider of therapeutic care seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a small, nurturing children's home in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home. You'll lead and mentor the team, maintain high standards of care, and help create a safe, consistent, and healing environment for children who have experienced trauma.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a senior role within a residential children's setting

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)

  • Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice, PACE, and therapeutic approaches

  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Clear enhanced DBS and suitable references

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the day-to-day management of the home

  • Supervise and develop the care team through reflective and therapeutic practice

  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies

  • Promote an emotionally warm, trauma-informed culture

  • Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015

  • Participate in the out-of-hours management rota
