Seeking a capable and motivated Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in legal administration or conveyancing, or a keen interest in commercial property, to contribute to a high-performing department.
You'll provide essential administrative and secretarial support to 2x fee earners, helping to ensure the smooth running of client transactions and delivering a consistently professional and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diary management, call screening, and file preparation for billing
- Typing correspondence, photocopying, filing, and managing incoming communications
- Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty forms and Land Registry applications
- Drafting straightforward legal documents and supporting client matters
- Liaising with clients and third parties to ensure timely updates
- Upholding LEXCEL and Investors in People standards and Law Society requirements
- Assisting with reception and postal duties as needed
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in commercial property, development, or conveyancing legal support
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Calm, professional approach under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage a varied workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
Desirable:
- Legal Secretary Level 2 Certificate/Diploma
- Familiarity with LEXCEL and Investors in People accreditation
- Experience using the Land Registry portal and submitting Stamp Duty forms
