About the Role:
My client are a leading specialist temporary works contractor working within the highways and civils sector. On their behalf I am looking for a skilled temporary works engineer with a strong background in scaffolding design to join a growing team delivering major highways infrastructure projects. You'll play a key part in the planning and design of temporary works, ensuring safety and compliance across multiple sites with a busy and long-term pipeline of work.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare and check temporary works designs, particularly scaffolding, to T620 standards
·Use AutoCAD and relevant design tools to produce clear and compliant drawings
·Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and temporary works coordinators
·Ensure compliance with BS 5975, CDM Regulations, and company temporary works procedures
·Attend site visits to assess and support the implementation of temporary works
·Provide engineering guidance throughout the construction phase
Requirements:
·Degree (or equivalent) in civil or structural engineering
·Proven experience in temporary works design within the highways or infrastructure sector
·Strong knowledge of T620 and temporary scaffolding structures
·Proficient in AutoCAD
·Familiar with industry standards and temporary works processes
·Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE/IStructE) desirable
·Clear communication and problem-solving skills
