About the Role:
This three-bed residential home provides care for young people with learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural needs. As a Senior Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in leading a team of support staff, ensuring high standards of care, and helping young people thrive in a safe, nurturing environment
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will,
- Support the management team in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care
- Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers
- Ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance (Children's Homes Regulations 2015)
- Promote a culture of emotional warmth and trauma-informed care
- Build strong, empathetic relationships with young people, families, and professionals
- Participate in daily routines, activities, and reflective practice
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning

- Sleep-in payments: £63 per night (average 1 per week)

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic models (e.g., PACE, POP)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- UK driving licence
- Clear DBS and positive references
- Must be 21+ due to registration requirements
