We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and enthusiasticDeputy General Manager, with high standards and a true passion for great food and people, to join our fantastic pub! Supporting the General Manager in running the day-to-day pub operations, delivering excellent customer service and a consistent high food quality, the Deputy General Manager will also be responsible for the front of house team performance and development. You will work alongside the General Manager in the organising, growing and day-to-day operations of your pub. You will deputise for the General Manager when they are on their days off or on leave, and during these times you will have responsibility for operations and are the line of communication between team members and management.

Key Responsibilities:

When deputising for the GM you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pub, working closely with the Head Chef to create an excellent dining experience

Alongside the General Manager, you will lead from the front and work side-by-side with team members to achieve the goals of the company, which are critical to the success of this role

Work alongside the General Manager in recruiting, developing, retaining and recommending promotion of your team supervising the performance of each team member

Ensure that the team is productive and that the shifts runs smoothly, you will have to think on your feet when problems arise and come up with innovative solutions that minimise the impact on the team, the business and guests alike

Take ownership of issues and manage them to a successful resolution

Assist the General Manager in creating business plans to support the pubs growth

Have awareness of your competitors & anything we can learn from them

Monitor and control stock levels to generate fantastic results month in month out

Knowledge of compliance (licensing /health and safety/fire safety/COSHH/local authorities)

A genuine passion for delivering incredible hospitality

The ability to focus on the detail without forgetting that our guests are at the heart of our business
