Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a respected and growing rural and leisure-focused planning consultancy to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Town Planner to join their Chipping Norton team.

This is a unique opportunity to join an agile, specialist planning practice that delivers end-to-end services for projects across leisure, tourism, rural development, and residential schemes-ranging from caravan parks to themed attractions and mixed-use rural diversification.

Role Overview

  • Support site promotions, appraisal reports, and representation in planning policy consultations

  • Help prepare legal notices, development briefs, and EIA documentation

  • Engage with stakeholders-including architects, environmental consultants, local authorities, and the public

  • Contribute to scheme due diligence, site assessments, and pre-application advice processes

This multidisciplinary role will give you exposure to a range of rural and tourism-related planning matters and firsthand experience in delivering high-impact projects.

Preferred Profile

  • A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a similar discipline

  • Real responsibility from day one and exposure to both strategic and technical planning work

  • Hybrid working model with regular team engagement

  • Strong mentorship in a consultancy that values creativity, client service, and specialist expertise
