The Role:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in upholding and improving the standards that keep our customers satisfied and our workplace safe.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

•      Ensuring  customer  satisfaction  through  consistent  adherence  to  quality standards;

•      Adherence to health, safety and hygiene procedures, whilst driving a safety- first culture;

•    Performing regular instrument calibrations in line with the calibration schedule;

•      Inspecting and testing products at various stages of the process to ensure quality compliance;

•      Assisting with product retests and manage dispositioning of non- conforming/stopped product;

•    Supporting finished pack audits and documentation;

•    Conducting environmental testing and generate accurate reports;

•      Carrying out routine process checks to maintain consistent production standards;

•      Leading or supporting customer claim investigations, providing root cause analysis and solutions;

•      Performing detailed troubleshooting on the paper machine and customer converting lines;

•    Assisting with machine trials, conducting hands-on product testing (including

flexible work patterns as required).

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

o  Previous experience in quality control or assurance role, or a degree in a relevant scientific, technical or engineering discipline

o  A  qualification  in  6  sigma  green  belt  or  above,  along  with  ISO  auditor experience, is desirable

o  The  successful  candidate  will  demonstrate  excellent  attention  to  detail, precision and accuracy in testing and reporting, have strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills and have a strong work ethic, along with a proactive and independent approach
