A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join a small, friendly and collaborative legal practice. This role will suit someone who enjoys being part of a tight-knit team, isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, and brings both experience and initiative to the table.The successful candidate will primarily support one of the firm’s Fee Earners, but will also assist other team members as needed, playing a key role in maintaining a smooth and efficient conveyancing process. This is a varied role that offers far more than standard secretarial duties, ideal for someone who thrives on being involved in every stage of the client journey.What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Fee Earner with a full range of conveyancing matters
  • Managing audio typing, document preparation, and file management
  • Opening and closing files, issuing client care forms, verifying client ID in line with AML guidelines
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents and other solicitors by phone and email
  • Diary management, post linking, and updating completion calendars
  • Assisting with general office admin, photocopying, and answering telephones

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in conveyancing
  • Confident with all aspects of conveyancing administration, not just typing
  • A genuine team player who enjoys working in a small office
  • Organised, proactive and happy to take on a wide range of duties
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
