Axon Moore is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller for a reputable SME in the Chorley area, offering a salary of £65,000 to £75,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate should be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 5 years of experience in financial control and operations.
In this fast-paced role, the Financial Controller will manage a finance team and support the delivery of the company's financial strategy.
Key responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements.
This position offers the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders while being part of a dynamic and growing organization.

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a highly reputable and fast growing SME in the Chorley area who are searching for an ambitious Financial Controller to join their high performing finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to develop under the guidance from a ACA Finance Director whilst managing a driven finance team. This is a highly visible and fast paced role and you will be key in supporting the successful delivery of the aspirational financial strategy over the next couple of years.You will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Control and Operations, Reporting, Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts.The successful Financial Controller will:• Ensure strong financial control over key processes in a growing business with accountability for month-end process. • Report on business cash performance and budgeting.• Build strong relationships with external stakeholders across the business.• Drive process improvements, efficiencies and controls.• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control processes into business operations• Lead the financial side of new projects and business initiatives, providing the strategic insight to guide the business to success.Person Specification:• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant• Strong interpersonal skills• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• A pro-active team player who thrives in a hands-on role.• High attention to detailThis will be a significant opportunity to get into an exciting, ever-changing role and gain ample achievements whilst being part of dynamic team.The role is currently working 5 days office based but operates core/flexible hours.For more information regarding this opportunity please submit a CV application to Jessica Coleman at Axon Moore.
