Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
Oversee reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial data.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities across the department.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to senior management.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should be:

Working towards a recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience in the field.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
Experience in the retail industry is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
