Job Title: HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver
Location:Chorley, Lancashire
Salary:14.63 per hour
Hours:Monday to Friday, 06:00 start until finish (approx. 40 hours per week)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experiencedHGV Class 2 Dustcart Driverto join their established waste management team in Chorley. This role offers stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional environment.
The Role
As anHGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will be responsible for driving and operating a refuse collection vehicle across designated routes. You will work as part of a crew, ensuring the safe and efficient collection of waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart vehicle across the assigned routes.

Carry out collections of waste and recycling in line with schedules.

Work closely with loaders and collection crews, ensuring all duties are completed efficiently.

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.

Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Experience

A validHGV Class 2 / Category C licence.

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.

A good understanding of health and safety on the road and within waste management operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
-
Previous experience working as aDustcart Driveror in refuse collection.

Good local area knowledge of Chorley and Lancashire.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
