Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an engineering business with over 40 years' experience across civil nuclear, defence and nuclear consultancy work to recruit a Commercial Manager for its Chorley site.
The Commercial Manager comes with a salary between 60,000 - 70,000 depending on experience, and a car allowance along with other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will:- Provide commercial support to the business, with a focus on Civil Nuclear.
- Ensure resource is in place to delivery commercial support to Civil Nuclear and all resources are effectively deployed.
Attend, and lead progress/delivery meetings with key stakeholders
- Review and negotiate NEC and other contract agreements, including teaming agreements.
- Support in the review and signing of upstream contracts. Ensure tender and Contract reviews have been completed.
- Support with subcontract strategy & liaise with Project Buyers / procurement Team as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A relevant university degree or a professional accreditation from a relevant body.
Personal skills
The Commercial Manager role would suit someone who has:
- NEC Certified Practitioner with minimum 3 years' experience
- Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information
- Worked within commercial / contract roles minimum experience 10 years.
- Familiar with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contact writing.
Salary and benefits of the Commercial Manager
A base salary between 60,000 - 70,000 depending on experience.
