We have an exciting opportunity for a IT Project Engineer / Senior IT Support Engineer to join a growing, friendly and dynamic Managed Service Provide who deliver support both remotely and in person to Businesses across the UK.

The Role of IT Project Engineer

Ensure that IT projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

Project Planning and Management

The IT Project Engineer is responsible for creating detailed project plans, outlining phases, tasks, and milestones. They coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables, ensuring that the project aligns with the organization's strategic goals.

Technical Expertise

Requirement to serve as the technical lead and / or resource providing guidance to the project team on software, hardware, and network solutions. They ensure that the technical aspects of the project meet the required standards and delivered as requested.

Resource Management

Managing resources efficiently is a critical role, this includes allocating personnel, budget, and equipment to various project tasks, ensuring that resources are used optimally and effectively.

Responsibilities

Design and Implementation

  • Previous project experience working for a Managed Service Provider, with strong working knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
  • Windows OS and Windows Server 2019/2016 migrations
  • Office 365 maintenance and administration
  • Networking (Firewalls, Routing & Switches, APs, TCP/IP)
  • Virtualisation technologies (VMware ESXi 6.0>, Hyper-V), Citrix desirable
  • Previous experience around migrations e.g. Exchange on-prem to Office 365, Exchange Online etc.
