Description

As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation such as; Production, Engineering, Supply Chain
  • Liaise across the production floor with operations in a hands on manner to recognise, implement and develop improvement processes utilising methodologies and CI Tools (VSM, Continuous Flow, Process Mapping, Std Work, 5S, SMED, Error proofing, TPM, Pull system).
  • Creation and Maintenance of Manufacturing documentation including work instruction and SOP's.
  • Process/Line Validations/Qualification.
  • New Product and process introduction; leading and executing trials including material and equipment trials.
  • Evaluation of current processes to determine their effectiveness, identify opportunites and recommend strategies for Improvement.
  • Lead process improvement projects to meet business objectives and deliver demonstrable results using LEAN and Six sigma methods.
  • Operate on a KPI driven basis to provide quantifiable data and deliver on operational goals whilst recognising gaps.
  • As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will liaise across all levels of the manufacturing from shop floor to leadership, communicating ideas effectively with evidence based date to implement long term strategies.

Profile

The key requirements for the role of Continuous Improvement Engineer are as follows -

HNC/HND minimum in a relevant engineering or business improvement related field.

LEAN certification is desirable with Green Belt Certification as a minimum.

Demonstrable background across CI/LEAN/Process improvement within a manufacturing business (Open to industry).

A clear ability to engage the all levels of a manufacturing plant to drive towards one goal.
