About the Role:We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic English teacher who is the right fit for our SEN school in Chorley. Your role will involve delivering engaging and tailored lessons that inspire and motivate pupils with diverse needs, including autism spectrum conditions and learning difficulties. Your expertise in creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment is vital to helping our pupils develop their communication, literacy, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, personalised English lessons aligned with pupils’ individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and confidence
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils in line with statutory and school policies
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support pupils’ holistic development
