We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Handyperson to join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch.

Introduction

The primary role of the Handyperson will involve supporting across the manufacturing site which a variety of duties.

Responsibilities:

• Keeping all manufacturing areas clean, with a regular cleaning schedule.
• Keep buildings and site in a clean and orderly condition including yard maintenance (hedge trimming, debris removal)
• Ensuring the entire site is well maintained, notifying management of the need for repairs and general maintenance tasks to be carried out.
• Waste management – including shop floor general waste, recycling waste, metal swarf management including segregation and hazardous waste (oil).
• Drain and clean slurry from machines annually.
• Forklift operation – move goods, materials and scrap/swarf bins within the factory and yard, loading or storage area.  
• Work to all H&S procedures and processes

Ideal Experience:

The ideal candidate will be happy to get stuck in with a variety of duties, be a self motivator.  Any previous experience as a handyperson, general site hand or manufacturing assistant would be preferred and any forklift experience would be an advantage, however not essential.

There will be an element of lifting and moving stock, equipment and materials around the site, although will be regulated in a safe manner.

Salary:

£25762  (For 25 Hours Per Week)

Hours: 25 per week, which can be worked across 4 days Monday to Thursday

Overtime: Paid at Time 1/2
