41,000.00 - 45,000.00 - plus overtime, plus Van
**Please note, the Van is coming in January, so my client is preparing to find the right person. You can start earlier being based at Bournemouth Airport and get all the necessary training until you go in your Van in January.

Monday to Friday days with overtime available
My client, a company that works with Bournemouth Airport and all associated companies, are looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Fleet Engineer / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter / GSE Engineer / Ground Service Equipment Mechanic / Field Service Engineer to join their team.
A lot of work will be based at the Airport, so please be aware you will need a clean DBS Check and also 5 years worth of references.
Role of the Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Fleet Engineer / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter / GSE Engineer / Ground Service Equipment Mechanic / Field Service Engineer:
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to customer fleets, HGVs, Trailers and GSE Equipment.
- Taking care of general vehicle maintenance duties including but not limited too; Ensuring that customer fleets are safe, legal, and fit for duties at all times maintenance inspection of heavy vehicles,
- To carry out preventative maintenance inspections to the highest standard ensuring all vehicles are safe and legal and fit for duties,
- Prepare all vehicles to the highest standard for MOT to ensure minimum number of failures.
- Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard whilst ensuring the vehicles are operating safely and compliant with legislation.
- Maintaining the Ground Service Equipment, as well as hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repairs.
- Ensuring all vehicles are road tested prior to confirming completion wherever possible.
- Ensure any wheels removed are refitted in the correct manner and wheel nuts torqued using the companies calibrated torque wrenches to the correct settings.
- Ensure the company complies with their commitment to ISO14001/9001 accreditation, IRTE, FTA by always maintaining the best possible standard of work.
- Complete job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork with good work practice.
- Knowledge of the use / operations of all automotive equipment and testing /troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work on own initiative.
The ideal Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Fleet Engineer / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanic / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter / GSE Engineer / Ground Service Equipment Mechanic / Field Service Engineer will have:
Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance
Electrical circuits and systems knowledge
Knowledge of engineering procedures and Health & Safety legislation
Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance
Experience on GSE is beneficial
Experience on Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulics is required
Clean DBS
Full UK Driving Licence
5 years worth of work references
