Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Location: Pontyclun, South Wales

Hour: 8-12 hour shifts days and nights or 6-6 Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience + bonus

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our clients manufacturing environment in Pontyclun.

The role:

      Working within the maintenance and continuous improvement team

First point of contact to all production staff regarding engineering issues

Maximise productivity through effective planned maintenance and repair

Provide an effective emergency response service for breakdowns within the factory

Pro-actively undertake risk assessments

Train other members of staff to ensure 24 hour reactive capability

Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and prototyping / production testing of new designs

Support compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, inclyding record keeping and statutory checks

Shift pattern working will be required depending on the business requirements

Qualifications:

Any relevant qualifications such as time served apprenticeship in:

      Mechanical / Electrical - NVQ Level or above

18 th Edition

HNC / ONC

BTEC or City in Guilds desirable

MEWP / Combilift and/or Counter balance licence desirable

About you:

      Must have PLC experience aswell as general electrical and mechanical experience

Common fault finding methods and resolution experience

Excellent attention to detail in work

Preferably knowledge and practical experience in A/C inverters, electro-pneumatics, drives / gearbox, augers. Hydraulic pumps and seals

Able to work well as a team but also with limited supervision

Excellent problem solver and demonstrate a 'can do' approach to work

Operational knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice regarding COSHH, working at heights, working in confined spaces and risk assessments
