About the Role:
An established and growing UK-based manufacturer of materials handling equipment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's financial operations and support its ambitious expansion plans.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the cashbook.
- Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for authorization.
- Perform credit control functions, including resolving outstanding queries.
- Assist with purchasing and raising purchase orders.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare month-end management accounts.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register.
- Maintain and update product costing.
- Plan and attend stock counts and valuations.
- Submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as reasonably expected.?
Candidate Profile:
- AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience with a proven track record of at least 2 years in manufacturing.
- Proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, reliable, and approachable.?
