Responsibilities

• Teach Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics in line with the national curriculum.
• Guide students through revision and exam preparation at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including GCSEs
• Relate scientific concepts to real-world applications and careers.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote respectful, inclusive behaviour.
• Teach students safe lab practices and procedures.
• Reflect on and improve teaching practices regularly.

Requirements

• QTS or PGCE in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
• Background in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with all subject specialisms considered
• Passion for Science education and a drive to make lessons engaging and meaningful.
• Skilled in classroom control, lesson planning, and clear communication.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references from recent years.
