Job SummaryMy client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Production Machine Minder to oversee operations on their manufacturing line. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical/electrical expertise, a solid understanding of safety protocols and proven leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production line and maintenance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the packing and handling of manufactured goods.
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and that daily production targets are consistently met.
  • Monitor and ensure correct packaging of products in line with company standards.
  • Achieve efficiency and customer service targets, measured by customer feedback, traceability, and site specifications.
  • Maintain and improve hygiene and safety standards across the site.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of machinery, ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine checks and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed to minimise downtime.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment with a flexible and goal-oriented approach.
  • Ensure all team members follow health and safety regulations while on the production floor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment is essential, particularly in maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Additional InformationManufacturing operations run 7 days a week and may vary seasonally, so the successful candidate must be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
