Job SummaryMy client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Production Machine Minder to oversee operations on their manufacturing line. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical/electrical expertise, a solid understanding of safety protocols and proven leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production line and maintenance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Oversee the packing and handling of manufactured goods.
- Ensure all orders are accurate and that daily production targets are consistently met.
- Monitor and ensure correct packaging of products in line with company standards.
- Achieve efficiency and customer service targets, measured by customer feedback, traceability, and site specifications.
- Maintain and improve hygiene and safety standards across the site.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of machinery, ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine checks and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed to minimise downtime.
- Foster a collaborative team environment with a flexible and goal-oriented approach.
- Ensure all team members follow health and safety regulations while on the production floor.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory role.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment is essential, particularly in maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Additional InformationManufacturing operations run 7 days a week and may vary seasonally, so the successful candidate must be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
