The Service Engineer Role: 

Sontex Machinery Ltd, based in West Yorkshire, is seeking a Service Engineer who will ensure optimum customer satisfaction by providing first-class electrical and mechanical support. 

Repairing and refurbishing our range of packaging equipment and enhancing strong relationships with our growing customer base.

This is a full-time position. Salary dependent upon experience.  

Nationwide travel is an essential part of this role. Applicants would be ideally located within 25 miles of our office in Cleckheaton.

Service Engineer Experience Required: 

  • Substantial experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical disciplines is essential.
  • With an understanding and ability to fault diagnose problems with our wide range of packaging machinery is a must.
  • Familiarity with machines; electrical parts; components and assembly are an essential part of this role.

Service Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Being able to control situations whilst providing a high standard of customer service and having a flexible approach to work.
  • Installation; commissioning; repairing and servicing, our full range of packaging machinery at customer premises around the country.
  • Carrying out training programs at customer premises.
  • This role may involve loading products into machines, monitoring the packaging process when testing, troubleshooting or repairing any malfunction.
  • Contacting customers from our office, to organise your weekly working schedule to best utilise time efficiency.
  • When on site, assisting customers with spare part enquiries, orders, and technical queries.

Service Engineer Must Haves: 

  • Have a good basic geographical knowledge of UK locations.
  • UK full clean driving license
  • Occasional overnight ‘stop-overs’ will be required.
