Elevation Recruitment Group is proudly working in partnership with a reputable manufacturing business based in Cleckheaton to recruit a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company, supporting both the R&D and manufacturing functions in a varied, hands-on role. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of projects—from small components to large structural frameworks—and must be confident in welding, fabrication, and general workshop practices.

Welder/FabricatorLocation: CleckheatonSalary: £30,500 – £33,500Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00

  • Friday: 07:00 – 12:00 (early finish)

Key Responsibilities:
  • MIG and TIG welding across a variety of materials (including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium)

  • General fabrication work, from small guards to large-scale frameworks and barriers

  • Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings to carry out tasks accurately

  • Using workshop machinery including lathes and milling machines (both vertical and horizontal)

  • Involvement in product testing activities such as cycle testing, vibration testing, dynamic testing, and static loading tests (some site visits required)

  • Supporting product development and R&D efforts alongside manufacturing

  • Carrying out welding using various methods including oxygen/acetylene, electric arc, MIG, and TIG

  • Ensuring all work adheres to relevant health & safety standards and COSHH regulations

  • Collaborating with the Service team and other departments as required

  • Occasional travel to customer sites may be required (with potential overnight stays)

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed technical and engineering drawings

  • Competence with general workshop machinery (lathes, milling machines, etc.)

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge would be advantageous

  • Flexibility to support cross-functional teams and off-site activities when needed

  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures and safe working practices
