We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Clevedon that is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team.
Location: Clevedon, BS21
Salary: 100 - 125 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Part-time, 26 hours per week (Monday-Thursday), Term time only
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Lead and cover classes in the absence of the class teacher, using pre-prepared planning to ensure continuity in learning.
- Deliver targeted intervention activities to boost pupil confidence and support children with additional learning needs.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and provide pastoral support to pupils across the school.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that helps every child reach their potential.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:
- HLTA status or significant classroom-based teaching assistant experience.
- The ability to deliver engaging learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A passion for supporting children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- A kind, fair, and caring approach that helps pupils feel valued and supported.
