- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and forecasted demand.
- Monitor material requirements and place purchase orders with approved suppliers.
- Liaise with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure material availability and delivery timelines.
- Identify and resolve any supply chain issues or bottlenecks that may impact production.
- Maintain accurate data on ERP/MRP systems regarding stock levels, order status, lead times, and planning parameters.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers to maximise value and reliability.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement across planning and procurement functions.
- Work with the finance department on budget forecasting, stock valuation, and supplier account management.
- Proven experience in a similar Production, Planning, or Purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and production planning.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS, HND/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering) are desirable.
- Competitive salary of £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
