The Opportunity:

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Costing and Credit Controller to join a dynamic finance team within the manufacturing sector. This role is pivotal in managing the sales ledger, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining effective credit control processes. Additionally, the position supports the Finance Manager in various costing activities, contributing to the financial efficiency of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively chase customer payments and address any arising issues
  • Maintain open communication with customers and internal teams
  • Provide updates during monthly debtors meetings and recommend actions
  • Manage all aspects of the sales ledger and reconcile at month-end
  • Handle internal and external queries and process credit notes
  • Upload invoices to customer portals and manage monthly postings
  • Assist with the input of bills of materials and costings into MRP systems
  • Support works order creation and cost request processes
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC documentation and reporting
  • Provide cross-cover for departmental roles as needed
