Hgv Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

Duties

• Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo,
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to minimise risks while driving and during loading/unloading processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery points.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
• Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and logistics operations.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Attention to detail when handling paperwork and ensuring cargo is secure.

NIGHTS - 3PM - 8PM STARTS

HOURS LIKELY TO BE MAXED EACH WEEK SO MUST BE WILLING TO WORK LONG HOURS.

NEED 1 YEAR ON LICENSE.
