The Contracts Manager Role

We're working with a great local contractor who have an opening for a Contracts Manager to join their business. They are a contractor who work with Severn Trent Water on both clean and waste water projects. This is an opportunity to get in with a contractor who aren't interested in pushing massive turnover, but delivering for their client, working collaboratively with their supply chain and simply doing good work and achieving natural growth in what is a very busy sector within civil engineering.

It has to be said that if you've got experience in this realm then that's massively advantageous however, if you've got experience in a civil engineering setting, have the drive to learn and develop your own skills and would like a conversation in how this position may look for you then do apply. The business have an order book full of varied water infrastructure projects, and this contractor have great projections across the framework which will keep them busy for the next 5 years.

The Contracts Manager will

  • Ensure a high quality of HSEQ management is promoted and adhered to
  • Plan and manage their project in-line with key performance indicators
  • Maintain high quality communication with the client
  • Co-ordinate temporary and permanent works design including obtaining the required certificates,
  • Develop Client Progress Reports, Accounts, budgets etc. in a timely manner,
  • Measurement and valuation of works complete on site (in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor where appropriate),
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to promote new business

The right Contracts Manager will have

  • Experience working in a similar position within a water infrastructure contractor
  • Have a track record of successful delivery in water infra and non-infra projects.
  • Have the necessary degree and management qualifications
  • In-date SMSTS and CSCS
  • Relevant water hygiene card
