Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarms Engineer with strong hands-on knowledge of Ziton fire alarm systems and intruder alarm systems to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding of fire detection and intruder security systems across a range of commercial and residential sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems, with a focus on Ziton equipment.

Install and maintain intruder alarm systems to NSI or SSAIB standards.

Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure system functionality.

Carry out commissioning and handover of systems to clients.

Complete relevant documentation including service reports, risk assessments, and compliance paperwork.

Provide technical support and advice to clients and team members.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety and industry standards.

Participate in a call-out rota (if applicable).
Requirements:

Proven experience working with Ziton fire alarm systems (essential).

Experience with various intruder alarm systems, e.g., Texecom, Honeywell, Pyronix, or similar.

Knowledge of BS5839 and PD6662 standards.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

Valid ECS or CSCS card (preferred).

Full UK driving licence (essential).

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:

FIA Unit 1, 4, or other relevant certifications.

Experience with additional systems (e.g., CCTV, access control) is an advantage.

Knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
