365 People are currently recruiting a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our prestigious client based in Bardon.


Purpose of the role :
- You will support management within your designated area(s) by overseeing staffing needs, providing direction, guidance, and training to team members, with safety and efficiency as top priorities. You will also raise any performance-related concerns with management as appropriate

- You will be directly responsible for the line management of all functions assigned to you, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, as well as company policies and procedures

- You will communicate company objectives, safety protocols, and deadlines to the team(s), while motivating and engaging them to achieve high standards.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Oversee the daily operations of team members within your designated area.

  • Offer motivation and support to team members by clearly communicating team objectives and identifying training and development needs, including delivering coaching and monitoring performance, while fostering a positive and engaging team culture.

  • Set clear expectations and drive strong individual and team performance, regularly reviewing performance against objectives and promptly addressing any concerns with your line manager.

  • Tackle challenges and constraints efficiently and proactively.

  • Lead your team to deliver operational excellence and achieve industry-leading standards.

  • Demonstrate professional and respectful workplace behaviour at all times, acting as a role model and advocate for excellent customer service.

  • Fulfil leadership responsibilities in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Keep your line manager informed of any emerging issues or difficulties.

  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and safe to use, reporting any faults or damage to your line manager without delay.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement within systems or processes and recommend changes where appropriate.

  • Ensure that all processes meet quality and productivity benchmarks, and develop initiatives to encourage compliance with company standards and performance targets.

  • Ensure adherence to company and legal obligations regarding Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), acting as a Health & Safety champion within the Distribution Centre and supporting continuous improvement in standards and housekeeping.

  • Maintain a tidy, organised and safe working environment, swiftly addressing any potential hazards.

  • Participate as a member of the HACCP team, carrying out audits as required and undertaking related administrative tasks to ensure BRC standards are upheld.

  • Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by your Team Leader.

Essential Requirements

  • Substantial experience working within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment, ideally within a shared-user facility.

  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A practical, hands-on approach to tasks.

  • A strong focus on health and safety.

Desirable Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Outlook, and the wider Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
