Community Safety Officer – ASBNorth West Leicestershire£32 PH UmbrellaFull timeOverall purpose
  • To respond to and co-ordinate anti-social behaviour (ASB) delivery for the district council, Safer North West Partnership and where required the organisation providing expert advice or enforcement
  • Deal with day to day ASB incidents, case management and investigating alleged breaches in legislation. 
  • Implementing ASB initiatives locally and those agreed at the county ASB delivery group providing written reports, drafting formal notices and updating records fully on Sentinel ASB (case management system for ASB) for enforcement action.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance regarding ASB and Sentinel.
  • Maintain an overview of ASB crime and disorder in the district to enable a proactive, co-ordinated response.

  • To participate in the council’s appraisal scheme and to undertake any necessary training and development as identified for the job role
  • To ensure high standards of health and safety practice are maintained in accordance with organisation’s policy, including the health and safety and welfare at work of themselves and colleagues.
Essential requirements
  • Experience of effectively resolving anti-social behaviour issues by investigation, negotiation and enforcement of ASB legislation
  • Evidence the use of legislation, and how it can be used to reduce ASB
  • Knowledge and full understanding of the court process having the ability to support and present evidence as required and able to case build
  • Must have in place Police Vetting NPPV level 1 or above.
