This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to join a leading manufacturing company as a Graduate Design Engineer. You'll support the design and development of mechanical systems, primarily cooling water systems, working closely with senior engineers and project teams. The role offers full training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in CAD design, layout planning, and technical documentation within a fast-paced engineering environment.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the design of mechanical cooling water systems, including piping and structural layouts.

  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Support in creating drawing packages for fabrication and assembly.

  • Participate in engineering calculations and problem-solving to support project development.

  • Work with project managers to prepare documentation and assist with client submissions.

  • Follow company Health & Safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Learn and adhere to industry standards and design specifications relevant to manufacturing and fabrication.


Experience / Education Required:


  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND may also be considered with relevant experience).

  • Proficiency in or exposure to CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing or fabrication processes is beneficial but not essential.
