Accounts Receivable Assistant • Annual Salary: £25, 000- £27,000• Location: Cobham• Job Type: Hybrid (3 days in office in Cobham with potential travel to other sites in Surrey and Kent)• Working Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible core hours between 8am - 6pm)

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team in Cobham. This role is ideal for a graduate keen to learn and progress within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales invoices, reconciling statements, and becoming the central point for processing. Occasional travel to other sites is required, approximately 1-2 times a month.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Full responsibility for accounts receivable, including raising sales invoices and resolving queries.• Work closely with sites to resolve any billing issues to ensure prompt collections.• Manage residents' invoicing schedules.• Assist with financial audits and liaise with auditors to provide requested information and resolve queries.• Update and maintain client details on databases/systems, ensuring data integrity.• Support the team by collaborating with local councils/suppliers in managing ad hoc supplier requests.• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is captured accurately and on time.• Support the accounts payable and wider team with accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations and employee expenses.• Assist with payment runs.• Handle other ad-hoc duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:• Good Excel skills.• 'Can do' attitude.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.• Knowledge of Xero and/or Arthur is desirable but not essential.• AAT studier/qualified and/or degree in Accountancy & Finance, plus keen to continue studying.
