Contract Length: 2 months
Hours: 42 hours per week (Night shifts)
Rate: Competitive day rate, inside IR35

 

 

Project Overview:

 

The M25 Junction 10 upgrade at Wisley Interchange involves the enhancement of one of the UK's busiest motorway junctions, handling over 300,000 vehicles daily. The junction connects the M25 motorway with the A3 and is located between Junction 9 (Leatherhead) and Junction 11 (Chertsey).

 

 

Role Overview:

 

We are looking for a proactive Night Shift Site Engineer to join our team and oversee the installation and cabling of technology systems, street lighting, and traffic signals. This role involves hands-on setting out, permit management, and daily progress reporting.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Set out works accurately on site using appropriate surveying equipment (ideally Trimble).

  • Create, manage, and brief permits required for night works.

  • Supervise installation and cabling activities related to street lighting, traffic signals, and technology systems.

  • Report daily progress and site activities to project management.

  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety standards and site regulations.

  • Liaise with other site teams and stakeholders to coordinate works and minimize disruption.

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • EUSR Category 1 and 2 certifications (mandatory).

  • Proven experience in setting out, preferably using Trimble or similar surveying equipment.

  • Experience with technology, street lighting, and traffic signal installation and cabling.

  • Strong knowledge of permit creation and site permit management.

  • Ability to work night shifts consistently and independently.

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.

  • Understanding of health & safety regulations related to highway and traffic signal works.
