Graduate Electronics Engineer to join an exciting and expanding firm supplying product design and engineering to a diverse client base. This is an incredible opportunity for a graduate electronics engineer to work first hand on cutting edge technology in electronics. Looking for a self-starter who is happy to take concepts through prototyping into real, manufacturable products.
With a focus on end-to-end product development, this role provides the Grad Electronic Engineer an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with the owner of the business.
This would suit a graduate who has hobbies in electronics using Raspberry Pi, for example, and thrives on challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working day-to-day with the owner of the business (min 3 days in the office)
- Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits and systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium ideal).
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and debugging of electronic hardware to ensure functionality and performance specifications are met.
- Collaborate with end client (ability to communicate on a technical level). You will have support from the owner.
- Support the development of embedded software and firmware for microcontroller-based applications.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic engineering and propose innovative solutions to enhance product designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field, 2.i or higher.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuit design
- PCB layout (Altium Designer preferred but other mainstream OrCad, KiCAD, Autodesk also ok).
- Basic programming skills, particularly in C/C++ Python also a plus
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with microcontroller platforms and development environments.
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
- Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
- Experience of phone apps connecting with devices.
- Prior internship or university project experience in electronic product development ideal but not essential.
What is Offered:
- Opportunity for the Electronic Engineer to work on diverse and innovative projects across multiple industries.
- Mentorship from a very experienced professional in this field.
- Exposure to the complete product development lifecycle.
- Potential for growth within the company as the team expands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and bright Graduate Engineer to learn a diverse range of skills. The graduate would gain more experience working here than for a large corporate. Apply today for more details and a conversation.
