Job Description:
- Provide locksmith services for both commercial and residential properties.
- Replace and re-install locks and keys as required.
- Interpret and implement master key systems using an in-depth understanding of lock mechanisms, ensuring the system’s security and integrity.
- Install, repair, modify, and maintain a wide range of locking systems tailored to individual or organisational needs.
- Change key combinations and perform maintenance on safes.
- Duplicate or craft keys using existing keys, templates, or key codes.
- Generate new key combinations for locks that lack existing keys or combinations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic key card systems, ensuring reliable access control through regular inspections and repairs.
- Manage the issuance and tracking of keys within an organisation, maintaining accurate records of all issued and returned keys.
- Install, repair, and maintain door hardware and security components.
- Service and replace worn or damaged parts of door locking systems, including tumblers, springs, and other internal mechanisms.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in a similar locksmith role is required.
- Approachable, personable, and confident in customer-facing interactions.
- Consistently reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Highly organised with a professional attitude and work ethic.
