SPEC Engineering is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company for oil, gas, and refineries and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Lawyer/Legal Advisor to join our company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and contract negotiations. We require a proactive approach to legal challenges and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the organisation.

Duties

  • Provide legal guidance on corporate governance and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research to support corporate transactions and initiatives.
  • Advise on regulatory issues affecting the organisation's operations.
  • Represent the company in negotiations with external parties.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on legal strategies.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting the business sector.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for the organisation's interests.
  • Experience in Group Structuring
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in legal documentation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A UK qualified Legal qualification
