Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports students as learners.
- Plan, resource, and deliver stimulating and enjoyable lessons for primary aged students.
- Supervise Teaching Assistants within the classroom to enhance educational delivery.
- Offer quality feedback to students to foster rapid and sustained progress.
- Contribute to the development of literacy skills across the school.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning.
- Engage in regular assessments to monitor progress, set targets, and implement necessary interventions.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding progress, disciplinary actions, and other relevant information.
- Ensure accurate student data management to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Support school management in promoting a positive educational culture and implementing change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teaching Status.
- Experience in teaching young people aged between 7-111.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Knowledge of the KS1 - KS2 National Curriculum.
- Effective lesson planning and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Highly skilled in delivering diverse teaching strategies.
- Experience of organising and running extra-curricular activities (Desirable).
- A knowledge and understanding of Steiner Waldorf curriculum and ethos (Desirable).
- ICT competent (Desirable).
