We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and help take our food to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional dishes, the talent and experience to create menus which accentuate the location and the local produce as well as managing a dynamic kitchen environment in a busy Lakeland pub.
Additionally we also hold a Skilled Workers License.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Oversee food production processes to maintain high-quality standards
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team
- Collaborate with restaurant and hotel management to develop innovative menus and specials
- Maintain an organised and efficient kitchen operation
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, ideally previous head-chef experience
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, recipes, and ingredients
- Excellent team management and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management are desirable
