Electronics Design Engineer
Salary:             £55k - £70k + Bonus

A leading manufacturer of high-voltage power supplies and X-ray generators is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Design Engineer to be involved in the design and development of high-voltage power conversion products and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with customers to define and agree on specifications.
  • Design and develop high-voltage power conversion products to meet agreed requirements.
  • Research and implement new design techniques for improved performance.
  • Document designs accurately to support manufacturing and future development.
  • Verify designs through testing, simulation, and calculations.
  • Ensure cost-effective, manufacturable, and regulatory-compliant designs.
  • Take full ownership of projects from concept to completion, providing ongoing support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of modern components, technology, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in high-voltage power supply design.
  • Understanding of PCB layout constraints and mechanical packaging.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and their impact on design.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture (CADSTAR desirable) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
