Agilis Search are delighted to be exclusively supporting a local charity based in Colchester who are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant, on a 6 month fixed term, to join their Finance Department in Colchester, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the charities commercial services, bridging the gap between operations and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyse financial performance, generate reports, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets, providing input on resource allocation and staffing needs.

- Business Partnering: Engage with commercial teams to consider financial implications of current and future plans.

- Year-End & Audit: Support the preparation of statutory accounts and the audit process.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience

- Experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Strong accountancy knowledge and the ability to prepare accounts past Trial Balance.

Skills and Attributes:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
