They are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Management Accountant to take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle and support the wider finance function. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop into a team management position.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely month-end management accounts

Review team postings to ensure completeness and accuracy

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances

Post accruals, prepayments, and other journals as required

Maintain the fixed asset register and process asset additions/disposals

Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns

Payroll processing, PAYE, and pensions administration

Consolidate and update the group cashflow forecast

Support and mentor the AP/AR team, with potential to take on formal line management responsibilities

Provide FP&A support to the FD

About You

Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience

Strong technical accounting knowledge and month-end close experience

Proficient in Excel and using a mainstream ERP

Organised, methodical, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communicator and team player who can work collaboratively across the business

Desirable but not essential

People management or mentoring experience

Experience in P/E-backed business
