Location: Outskirts of Colchester (own transport required)
Pay Rate: 16.15 per hour

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Night Shift Hygiene Operative Team Leader to join our team. You will be responsible for leading a small team of hygiene operatives to ensure all cleaning activities are completed to the highest standards, supporting food safety, and maintaining compliance with company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning tasks as outlined in Cleaning Instruction Cards and work schedules.
  • Lead and support a team of hygiene operatives.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of machinery and production areas.
  • Dismantle equipment for thorough deep cleaning.
  • Safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation and sign-offs.
  • Provide cover for holidays and absences.
  • Work closely with the Hygiene Manager and Hygiene Supervisor to drive continuous improvement and maintain high factory standards.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach.
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility.
  • Previous experience leading a small team is preferred, though transferable leadership skills will be considered.
