Job Title: Night Shift Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Colchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Salary: 14.53-16.70ph
Employment Type: Temporary Ongoing - Full time hours 37 per week
Our client a well-established and fast-paced engineering company based in Colchester, known for delivering high-quality metal fabrication and engineering solutions across various industries. Due to continued growth and demand, we are seeking skilled and reliable Sheet Metal Workers to join our dedicated night shift team. Key Responsibilities
- Operate sheet metal machinery including press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal components to precise measurements.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar engineering role.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.
- Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Desirable
- Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
- Forklift or crane operation certification.
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in fabrication or engineering.
