Your new company
A successful and growing construction business located near Colchester, with a turnover of approximately £3 million, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to support its finance function. The company operates from a site that requires access by car, so candidates must be able to drive.
Your new role
You'll be working full-time in the office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a temporary 3-month position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. You'll be responsible for:
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Performing cash allocation,VAT returns, and bank reconciliations
- Using Xero accounting software dailyNote: This role does not include payroll or accruals.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in bookkeeping
- Strong proficiency in Xero
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the office location
