Assure Personnel are supporting a leading supplier of merchandise to hire a Business Development Manager to be based in the Colchester office.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, expanding the customer base, and contributing to revenue growth. Your responsibilities will include re-engaging with lapsed clients and introducing the company to new prospects.

We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual who excels at forging strong professional relationships. You'll be confident initiating contact-whether that's through cold calls, networking, or representing the company at industry events. Equally target-focused and relationship-oriented, you'll bring energy and initiative to every stage of the sales cycle.

**Please note that this job is based in Colchester, Essex - please only apply if you are able to travel to our offices. This role is not remote.**

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Identify and reach out to potential clients through research and direct contact

  • Develop and nurture long-term client relationships, serving as a key point of contact

  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to internal stakeholders

  • Represent the company at industry events and client-facing engagements

  • Consistently meet or exceed performance targets and key metrics

  • Support the preparation and submission of tenders when required
