Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking an Internal Sales and Customer Support specialist on a full time, permanent basis. You will offer first-class customer service and collaborate across departments to achieve business goals. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in internal sales or customer service within a distribution environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process customer orders and prepare quotes/bills of materials while determining effective pricing
  • Handle sales enquiries for all products within the Business range
  • Manage enquiries on customer accounts and liaise with the warehouse regarding special delivery orders
  • Raise purchase orders and follow up on quotations.
  • Manage all aspects of customer relationships and work as part of the team to drive positive sales results
  • Achieve and exceed agreed KPIs
  • Learn existing processes and strive for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all customers are dealt with in a timely and friendly manner
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required, upsell products, and generate leads.
  • Handle outbound/inbound calls
  • Address and log customer complaints effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working within an Internal Sales/Customer Service team.
  • Understanding of the sales process within a distribution environment.
  • IT literacy, particularly in MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible attitude to working patterns and a natural problem-solving ability.
